Back in November, Waytek posted a blog on our partnership with KnowBe4, a technology that can send fake phishing to the users in your organization to test and train them in better safe practices while using email.
Recently, three employees of a client not using KnowBe4 were targeted with phishing. It was from their payroll company. The phishing email had the users reset their passwords. Once they did this, the hackers had control of their account and changed their bank accounts. As a result, their pay was deposited into a rogue account. This was the result of the end user not being aware of common phishing tactics. KnowBe4 trains users to be aware of such attacks.
