It’s that time of the year again to offer our list of holiday gifts for the tech minded recipient on your list. Here are good bets for 2024.

3. The Kasa Smart Plug Ultra Mini 15A is a great way to connect objects in your home or office to Alexa, Siri, or Google. The Apple HomePad version is slightly more expensive, but this is a great and fun buy starting at around $12.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 laptop is at a great price right now (around $1500 on Amazon) and is an environmentally friendly super laptop, ideal for business on the go and conference meetings. It offers auto framing or low light enhancement for online meetings and its communication bar has two cameras and 360 degree microphones with AI noise cancellation. It is also ZOOM certified and has a good redesigned keyboard. It has multi-layer security and a professional grade level of performance. We always recommend the Lenovo ThinkPad.

 

5. The Amazon Kindle is a great eReader to give starting at around $100, but this year offers a splurge option for the avid reader on your list. The Amazon Kindle Colorsoft 32 GB (at $280) is lightweight, waterproof and easy to read outdoors, like other Kindles. With this Kindle, however, you can also read in color. The glare- free display is auto-adjusting to light outdoors. It is especially useful in reading magazines, cookbooks or anything with color photos. You can also color your pages, highlighting favorite scenes in different colors.
